Professional, Reliable, and Affordable — premium rides across Checkpoint Charlie.
Checkpoint Charlie was the best-known crossing point on the Berlin Wall, named because it stood on Friedrichstrasse between the American and Soviet sectors. What remains today is a single sand-coloured guard hut, the replica US and Soviet signs facing each other, and a short piece of wall, set in a busy road a few hundred metres from the Wall itself. The site was closed and tidied in 1990, which is why it feels more like a museum piece than the genuine surviving border, and visitors often find the Bernauer Strasse Memorial more affecting by comparison. The surrounding area is now a busy commercial and nightlife district with heavy foot traffic. Because the checkpoint is in the middle of the road, transfers should use the nearby side streets.
